KD Canopies Pop Up Tents - Canopy Tents started in January 23, 1984 with the invention by James P. Lynch on the collapsible canopy structure patent number #4,641,676. KD Kanopy revolutionized the instant pop up canopy industry January 4, 1991 with patent #5,244,001. This patent is used by pop up tent companies such as KD Canopy, E-Z Up, Caravan. KD Kanopies also patented another popular design in patent #4,779,635 which is now used by quik shade canopies.
