We married two of our favorite tents, the Electron and the Reverse Combi. The Electron RC 2 upgrades with our Spider Hub that keeps all poles (main and ridge) locked in place. Reverse Combi Technology steepens the wall and expands usable interior volume. Two doors and two vestibules (14 and 10 square feet) house gear-loaded backpackers with room to spare. The Electron RC also comes with a free Accessory Package ($60 retail value).

DAC® Featherlite NSL Poles
Thicker diameter poles with a thinner wall increases strength and saves weight

The best strength-to-weight ratio of any tent pole available today
Unique joining insert allows for a cleaner, smoother transition in Reverse Combi Technology™ (RCT)
DAC® has greatly reduced the use of phosphoric and nitric acid in the anodizing process (cleaner manufacturing makes for a cleaner environment)
Computer Aided Design

Dye-Free Optic White Canopy
Optic white canopies transmit light more effectively to give a brighter and more pleasant environment for long hours inside tent
Sierra Designs produces the Optic White Canopy without the use of chemical dyes
Reverse Combi Technology
An award winning variable pole diameter system creates close to 50% more livable space
Thicker diameter pole sections are used in the center where strength and stability are needed most
Thinner diameter pre-bent pole sections are used on the ends, creating steeper walls for more livable space than a typical X-tent
Locking Pole Tips
Keeps pole tips locked in grommet for faster, easier set up
Extended pole tips can be found on all 4-Season tents as well as the Tengu 3 and Tengu 2
A Sierra Designs innovation

SuperSeal FloorCombines benefits of catenary and bathtub floors
Raised, taped, perimeter seam provides guaranteed waterproofness
Maintains a tighter pitch with a better wind line to prevent flapping

Tent Guard with Ultra Fresh
We begin using Tent Guard with Ultra Fresh in 2004 (a Sierra Designs exclusive at the time!) and with great success. Applied as part of the PU coating to our rain flies, floors and footprints, Tent Guard extends the life of a tent by thwarting mold, mildew and fungus. Particularly on extended trips or in damp climates, Tent Guard protects a tent if it is packed or stored temporarily while wet — another bit of piece of mind for your customers.
